Guaranteed Cold Chain: High-Capacity Charging Solution
When Cargills Magic Ice Cream required a centralized, high-efficiency charging infrastructure for its freezer lorry fleet, the mandate was simple: guarantee continuous power to ensure zero thermal disruption from factory to consumer. The facility required power management for 36 dedicated charging ports—each feeding a lorry's cooling system—while protecting the 800 Amp main distribution circuit with seamless redundancy.
Maruka Technologies designed and fabricated a robust solution centered around an 800 Amp Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) Main Panel. This system automatically monitors the grid and executes a rapid transfer to a standby generator in the event of failure. To withstand industrial washdowns and weather, all outdoor panels were constructed using Cold-Rolled Galvanized Steel with an advanced powder coat finish.
The system was successfully commissioned with a rigorous underground cabling protocol, featuring layered sand and concrete tile protection to prevent physical damage. Cargills Magic now operates with the power certainty required to maintain the integrity of its cold chain 24/7.
